Buy from Local Authors for Your Holiday Shopping
DENVER, COLO. December 4, 2019 – Barnes & Noble will be partnering with Judith Briles, The Book Shepherd, to feature and sell books by Colorado authors. The authors featured will come from multiple genres: from fiction to non-fiction, suspense, mysteries, self-help, and children’s books. The event will be held at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at 960 S Colorado Blvd., Glendale on December 15 from 9:00am-6:00pm.
Over a dozen authors across Colorado will be attending this yearly event, and every book they will sell will be personalized by them for the perfect holiday gift for book lovers everywhere. Barnes & Noble has often partnered with the Book Shepherd and her non-profit organization, AuthorYOU, to promote local authors and let their works be known. Last year, Barnes & Noble was a significant contributor to the creation of the Colorado Authors’ Hall of Fame.
“Barnes & Noble has been an advocate for Colorado authors in an ongoing basis,” Dr. Briles stated. “Each year, we are honored to partner with them for a holiday book buying delight event featuring a dozen local authors of children’s, mystery, thriller, women’ fiction, poetry, how-to, and business books signed and personalized for the buyer and gift giving as well.
“And, with each book sold,” she continues, “Barnes & Noble generously supports the Colorado Authors’ Hall of Fame with their own donation.”

The Book Shepherd and Barnes & Noble Partner Again to Feature a Dozen Local Authors at Westminster Store
DENVER, COLO. December 7, 2019 – Barnes & Noble will once again partner with Judith Briles, the Book Shepherd, to feature and sell books by a dozen Colorado authors. Coming from all across Colorado, these authors range in a variety of genres: from fiction to non-fiction, suspense, mysteries, self-help, and children’s books, book lovers of all ages are guaranteed to find something for them. The event will be held at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Westminster at 9370 Sheridan Blvd. on December 19 from 9:00am-6:00pm.
Dr. Briles and Barnes & Noble partnered every year to present local authors for people’s reading pleasure, and the success of the events at the Colorado Blvd. store encouraged another event to be held at Westminster the same week. Like the one on December 15th, every book sold will be signed and personalized by the authors, giving the perfect holiday gift for bookworms everywhere. Barnes & Noble were also instrumental in the forming of the Colorado Authors’ Hall of Fame last year.
